Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT), the Enterprise Technology group supporting all business functions under Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for an Architect, Windchill PLM, as part of the Engineering R&D System group. This position’s primary location will be in West Chester, Pa. At times, this position will require up to 5% travel in the NJ/PA area including Raritan NJ.

As a Windchill PLM architect, you will be part of a dynamic and hardworking team that collaborates with our business partners to build important and meaningful solutions and capabilities. The work is fast-paced and collaborative while providing outstanding exposure to R&D, Quality and Manufacturing areas. The position includes both technical and business process leading to a broad set of multi-functional skills. In this role, you will communicate, architect, design, develop, install and test software solutions for a diverse set of users within J&J. You will also lead code review activities to ensure high quality of software solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design and develop solutions within Windchill PLM and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with business partners and technology teams to align requirements and business process with both standard and new solution capabilities. Perform options analysis, communicate architectural strategy and transitions into development.
  • Participate as a leader within SCRUM teams working on sprints and ensure on time delivery with high quality
  • Lead software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities like code review to ensure history quality and mentor junior developers
  • Analyze and evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutions.
  • Lead innovative initiatives to incubate ideas to productive solutions
  • Serve as a key leader within the team for DevOps initiatives


  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of IT experience is required.
  • Proven ability and experience of architecting & developing PLM software solutions technically and in business processes including PDMLink, ProjectLink, Design Control is required. ESI preferred.
  • Proficient in working on Java enterprise platform and broad technologies including Java language, Javascript, Web service etc. is required.
  • Relevant certificates are a plus.
  • Proficient in Windchill PLM data models and APIs is required.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships in a team environment is required.
  • Effective organization and team leadership skills is required.
  • Excellent in writing, verbal presentation, and interpersonal communication is required.
  • Preferred experience with the following methodologies and tools: Agile, DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • ThingWorx or/and Integrity experience is a plus.
