Accenture is looking for a highly motivated PLM Analyst to support lifecycle management tools / processes of our clients hardware teams.

Candidate should have good understanding of a PLM tools and processes, and a relentless drive to focus on high-value projects and to prioritize ruthlessly. Candidate should be able to operate at scale and adapt to clients dynamic needs in the PLM space. This role will work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to deliver significant results. This position is a key interface to cross-functional organizations like engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, compliance, and IT.

This position is located in Northridge, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as PLM interface to Electronic Computer Aided Design (“ECAD”) and Mechanical Computer Aided Design (“MCAD”) databases:

  • Working directly with engineering teams (design engineers, drafting engineers, and prototyping team)
  • Drawings converted from ECAD/MCAD are released by Service Provider using Oracle Agile change control process.
  • Perform documentation release and management, and ensure availability of files online
  • Interface with client’s logistics and inventory management team, shipping and receiving team, trade compliance/export controlled materials teams in support of the following:
  • Release of spare parts.
  • Setting disposition of parts.
  • Capture and enter the following attributes from client’s teams: export, intellectual property (“IP”), data classification and permission control, receiving and other general contractor attributes.
  • Interface externally with third party fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing providers, original design manufacturers (“ODMs”), original equipment manufacturers (“OEMs”), and joint design manufacturers (“JDMs”), and other go-to-market providers identified by client who may require access to PLM-managed material, including:

Facilitate supplier onboarding (e.g., of local machine shops) in Oracle Agile platform.

  • Release drawings to suppliers/Service Providers.
  • Creating specification sheets for OEMs and capturing compliance data and manufacturer part numbers (“MPNs”).
  • Additional tasks, including management of:

  • Pre-lifecycle PLM engagement, including part number assignment
  • Bill of material creation
  • Item attributes
  • Creation of associative links between Item Master Records, Part/Component Design files (CAD files) and the output of Component Analysis files using ECAD, MCAD, and specialty and analysis tools provided by client such as Ansys, Zemax (optical design software)
  • Supplier data creation and maintenance
  • Component characteristics and status

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross functionally, with customer driven focus and sense of urgency.
  • Independent worker with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment is key.
  • Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and processes are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of product structure and processes.
  • Understanding of product design for servers and/or networking products.
  • Knowledge of Solidworks is a plus
  • CAD/PLM integration experience is a plus

Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred).
  • Min 2 years of Agile PLM experience in Hi-tech industry
